Erin Wendt, Business Manager/Editor
Serving as a lead editor and one of the business managers, senior Erin Wendt has been involved in journalism since the beginning of her sophomore year. Wendt works alongside her sister Ashley in the lead-editor position for AHSneedle. She also serves as the business manager with her peers Halsey Bailey and Kayla Mauk. Wendt enjoys writing stories for AHSneedle because she can “get more information” for a specific topic out to the public and she likes the student-directed learning environment. A major highlight for Wendt was writing a profile with her sister for John McConkey, a 2018 state wrestling champion. Although she did not take any photography classes prior to journalism, she also likes this aspect of the department. According to Wendt, journalism will “be a really great help” for writing papers in college. She is currently planning on attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Â
