Dakota Oswalt, AHS Needle Editor, Podcasting, Yearbook
An avid writer, Dakota Oswalt is involved in all three branches of the journalism department: she is a staff writer for the AHS Needle, a designer for the yearbook, and a podcaster for broadcasting. Oswalt loves writing about almost everything. “I love creative writing because it's fun.”
Outside of journalism, Oswalt is involved in dance and the National Honor Society. "This is my fourteenth year in dance and I love it because of the community it creates." She also likes to watch movies and read books, especially outside.
When she’s not writing, busy with dance, or working at the YMCA as a slide attendant, she enjoys spending time with her family. She looks up to her parents because “My dad teaches me to be kind and my mom teaches me to be patient.” One of Oswalt’s favorite things to do is Creative Writing in Ms. Berryhill's AO and crossword puzzles in Mr. Simpson's AO.
