Brooke Thompson, Broadcasting Editor
An AHS Senior, Brooke Thompson, is a dancer, cheerleader, and AHS journalist. Thompson enjoys picture projects and finding cool, unique angles when taking pictures for Journalism. Some of her hobbies are dancing at Dance Atlantic, cheerleading, and scrapbooking.
Just this year, Thompson had joined cheerleading just to "try it out." Joining cheer has got her to "talk to more people and have more fun added to her life." A lot of people had talked to Thompson about trying out for cheerleading and she thought it would be fun to do so Thompson joined for her senior year. She loves learning new things, especially the routines for Homecoming .“[It’s] definitely a positive experience and feeling,” said Thompson.“It's my senior year so why not.”
Thompson has also started a scrapbook for her senior year to remember her last high school memories. She had seen the scrapbook idea on someone's Snapchat story and decided to do it as well.
Thompson has done dance since she was four years old. One of her biggest accomplishments was landing her front aerial walkover. “I was very excited that I was able to do it on my first try.”
Thompson works at Scooters, and her previous jobs include Rolling Hills Bank and Trust and a firework store. After high school, Thompson wants to do an Elementary Teaching or Dental Job. She plans to start off at a community college, then transfer to a university later on.
