Alyssa Neal

Alyssa Neal, JP Staff

“In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” It’s a famous quote from the Bible, and it’s special to sophomore Alyssa Neal. Along with being involved in her church and passionate about her religion, Neal enjoys a life of music. She can play six instruments, five of which were self-taught. She also likes singing and being in choir, although “I can’t hit high notes.” Besides choir, Neal participates in journalism, AHS Fuel, and manages cross country and basketball.

Outside of the busy school life, Neal often will “hang out and do nothing,” because “school is so stressful.” Neal is known for being a compassionate and kind person. “I care about everybody and I’m sad when things are sad.”

So far, Neal’s favorite part of high school was “freshman year, getting to know the seniors” in her various sports and activities. “I made a lot of friends.” Even though she hasn’t been involved long, her favorite part of journalism is “taking pictures, because you can capture things that wouldn’t otherwise be captured,” though she also enjoys writing stories.
