Eleanor McCalla, Staff Writer

Eleanor McCalla, a sophomore at Atlantic High School, is a staff writer in Journalism Production. McCalla enjoys writing, specifically writing senior stories. As soon as McCalla has a role in journalism, she wants to write stories for AHS Needle as well as write and edit stories for the AHS Senior Magazine. “I like to write because I get the experience of learning about current news.” When she is not writing she likes to take naps, eat food, and walk her dog Nika.

In high school, McCalla has been involved in choir, show choir, musical, and the play. The musical is her favorite activity because of close cast bonds and being able to make new friends. “Something that makes me unique would be my lack of uniqueness." She said, “It is easy for me to blend in.” If McCalla could be anyone or anything for a day she would be her dog because "all you get to do is sleep all day, and sunbathe." McCalla said, “I'm not entirely sure what I want to do in the future, but I plan on going to a college and doing something in the medical field.”
