National FFA Week is celebrated each year from Feb. 21–28 during the week of George Washington’s Birthday (Feb. 22). Established in 1948, this week recognizes the impact of FFA members across the country and highlights the importance of agricultural education. According to the National FFA Organization, it is a time to share what FFA is and the difference it makes in members’ lives every day.
With more than 1 million members nationwide, FFA plays a vital role in developing future leaders in agriculture, science, business, and technology. National FFA Week showcases how students prepare for careers in food, fiber, and natural resource systems while building leadership and teamwork skills. Chapters often host activities, community service projects, and outreach events to raise awareness about agricultural careers.
Special initiatives such as Give FFA Day and National Wear Blue Day encourage public support and pride in the organization. By honoring both leadership and agriculture, National FFA Week celebrates the past while inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders.
