Atlantic FFA members attended the 98th Iowa FFA Leadership Conference on April 20–21, where they represented their chapter with pride and professionalism.
Lauren Comes had an outstanding conference, earning recognition for her proficiency award in beef production. She also received a scholarship from the Iowa Horsemen Benevolent and Protective Association and was elected Southwest State Vice President.
Several members took on important leadership roles during the event. Dylin Ball and Jovie Richter served as chapter delegates, while Lily Johnson contributed as a member of the Program of Activities (POA) Committee.
Atlantic FFA members also competed in a variety of contests. Alyson Dreager, Jacquie Freund, Addalyn Sonntag, and Claire Schroeder participated in the Farm Business Test. Chloe Sonntag and Tessa O’Brien competed in the Greenhand Test, and Rylan Martin and Paislee Klever took part in the Chapter Test. All three teams earned a silver rating.
Additionally, ten members were awarded their Iowa FFA Degrees: Lauren Comes, Frank Freund, Lily Johnson, Hayden Kleen, Hunter Quist, Keston Schmitt, Claire Schroeder, Natalie Smith, Kayedance Sturm, and Miraylie Sturat.
Overall, the Atlantic FFA chapter represented itself exceptionally well at the 2026 State FFA Convention.
