Leadership Development Events (LDEs) help members of FFA grow into confident, capable leaders. On Feb. 11, the Atlantic FFA attended sub-districts in Missouri Valley, where 16 members competed across multiple contests. 

Lauren Comes (Job Interview), Aly Dreager (Ag Sales), and Hayden Kleen (Arc Welding) each earned gold and advanced to districts. Tiegan Daniel earned silver in Extemporaneous Speaking and also advanced. The Conduct of Meetings team, Jovie Richter, Chloe Sonntag, Dylin Ball, Walter Freund, Tessa O’Brien, Reese Ball, and Paislee Klever, earned silver and advanced. Rylan Martin received silver in Ag Broadcasting, while Addalyn Sonntag, Jacquie Freund, and Kayedance Sturm earned silver in Chapter Program. Jenna Jensen earned bronze in the FFA Creed. 

“I am excited for our team to advance,” said Richter. Advisor Eric Miller added he was “very happy with the performance of all of our teams, their hard work paid off.”
