Laney Brosam, Staff Writer

Sophomore Laney Brosam is a staff writer for AHSneedle in Journalism Production. She originally joined journalism because she “heard upperclassmen and [her] cousin talking about it… and thought it sounded fun,” but she soon discovered that she enjoys the photography aspect of journalism. “I like taking pictures because you can get really creative with angles, scenery, and capturing action within an event.”

Brosam has participated in cross country and track throughout high school, and she was the boys’ basketball manager. Her favorite among these activities is cross country. “It doesn’t sound fun,” she said, “but we have a good team bond that makes it fun, and it’s kinda nice to start off the school year in something.” In her free time, Brosam likes to run, hang out with her mom, and chill at home with her dogs: two Shih Tzu and Bichon mixes named Jackson and Jake.

Something that not many people know about Brosam is that she can be “really out-there” and extroverted. “I feel like some people think I come off as more of a quiet person,” she said, “but when I’m around certain people, it all just comes out.”
