Atlantic FFA passed a new Constitution Update on February 16th, during the monthly meeting in the Atlantic High School library. The update included an installation of minimum qualifications for the Discovery Degree, the addition of another reporter on the officer board, a formal interview and drop-down ballot for new officers, a requirement of six monthly meetings out of 12 to retain membership, and a simpler Chapter point system. FFA President, Lauren Comes, states, “It is an involvement issue. Members should be showing up to meetings and applying themselves.” Comes says that future officers may change it, but that it fits her standards for now.
