Olivia Jensen

Olivia Jensen, AHS Needle Lead Editor

Senior Olivia Jensen (17) is a lead editor for the paper for the 2025-2026 Journalism teamalong with her partner Makenna Schroeder. She first joined journalism because she “had heard lots of good things about the program, and lots of her friends are involved.” The best part is meeting people and getting to talk to new people, which she doesn’t get to on a “regular basis.” Jensen’s favorite memory has been winning Best of SNO for a story she wrote about Avery Anderson.

Outside of journalism, she enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. While in high school, she has been involved in volleyball, tennis, golf, choir, band, NHS, AHS Fuel, student council, journalism, Quill and Scroll, and dance. Out of those, Jensen says her favorite is “dance.” In high school, she really enjoyed getting to go to school dances with her friends and having fun getting ready with them for it. She also has a younger brother, Evan, and loves being the oldest because she “gets lots of control,” and always has someone looking up to her. She plans to go to college at Northwest Missouri State University and major in business.
