Class registrations for next year have now started at AHS. These registrations allow every student to say what their ideal classes for the next school year would be. After our counselor, Alyssa Boltz, has talked to everyone, she will go and build the “master schedule.” The master schedule is where everybody’s schedule is put together for classes next year. This hopefully allows students to take as many “singleton” classes as they want. The goal of registration is to allow students to get ready for a career or college. If a student changes their mind about their decisions, they can easily go and talk to Ms. Boltz about having it changed. The class registrations have an “immense benefit” on the student body.

About the Contributors
Scott Simonton, Staff Writer
Scott Simonton joined the journalism program during his sophomore year after being inspired by Mrs. Berryhill. What began as an interest quickly developed into a passion, as Simonton discovered that journalism is both a creative and rewarding field. He comes from a family of five, including his parents, Josh and Christina, his older brother, Jake, and his younger sister, Jennifer. While Simonton is not involved in other school activities, he focuses his time and energy on journalism.
Simonton’s favorite aspect of the program is photography, especially photo projects that allow him to choose his own subjects and express his creativity. Looking ahead, Simonton is excited to be part of the Javlin yearbook staff and see the final product come together. Overall, Simonton’s creativity and dedication make him a strong asset to the journalism program.
