Paraeducator Heather Nosekabel took all of her students’ phones to help educational growth and stop children from using AI on their assignments. Nosekabel was subbing for Mrs. Bacariza’s 6th-period English class, and she gathered every student’s phone after the bell to stop them from using AI. She said, “They have to learn how to use their brains and not rely on technology so much.” She did not keep their phone all day. Once they had completed the assignment, each phone was given back to each student or at the end of the class period.
