Lillian Stufflebeam, Newspaper Photographer
When she’s not singing on the stage, you can find senior Lillian Stufflebeam behind the camera admiring the action. Stufflebeam has been a part of journalism for three years, during which she has participated in both the yearbook and the newspaper division. Stufflebeam said she likes the yearbook because “you get to take a lot of pictures and you get to do a lot of stuff in designing the page.” She enjoys journalism because of “all the people in it,” and it allows her to enhance her photography skills.
Apart from journalism, Stufflebeam is a part of chamber choir, show choir, and tennis. Her extracurriculars intertwine with journalism often, because she may end up taking photos while also participating in the activity.
Aside from the various activities, she is a part of, Stufflebeam enjoys drawing, painting, practicing piano, and hanging out with her many animals.
Stufflebeam’s goal for this year is “trying to get the best photo I can,” and her advice for new journalists is to “just keep going with it, even if you get like frustrated or you don’t like the people in it, just keep going with it, it’s good in the long run.”
