Eleanor McCalla

Eleanor McCalla, Senior Magazine Lead Editor

About to run away with your stories and your hearts, senior Eleanor McCalla is here to succeed. McCalla is a journalist who has “dabbled” in all aspects of journalism since their freshman year, with her favorite part being writing Senior Stories. “I’d say my strong suit is writing biographical works,” McCalla said.

Throughout their high school career, McCalla participated in a wide range of activities, including choir, show choir, the musical, the play, cross country, tennis, and much more.

“I think journalism’s my favorite,” McCalla said. “Even if I fail at tennis, even if I don’t get a role in the play or whatever, journalism is something I will always be able to succeed in, because it’s like, my favorite thing to do.”

When she isn’t working on senior stories, you can find McCalla with their dog Nika, who is “like my favorite person,” or her sister, Genevieve. McCalla attributes a lot of their confidence to having their sister by her side. She said that there are “Things that I wouldn’t have been outgoing enough to do by myself but when I had someone to do it with me I was able to kinda like get more out of high school.”
