Addie DeArment

Addie DeArment, Staff Writer

Sophomore Addie DeArment is very involved at AHS. Whether she’s running hills in cross country or tearing up the track, she always has a positive attitude. “Being positive affects everybody around you, and it makes life more fun that way,” she said. While in middle school, DeArment played volleyball, but then decided to switch to cross country after a successful track season. This paid off when she made it to state her freshman year. DeArment also is the boys basketball manager and currently works as a lifeguard.

In her free time, she enjoys shopping with her friends and chilling with her family. She has two sisters, Reese and Gracie, that continuously support her in everything she partakes in. Her favorite part of journalism is taking pictures at sporting events. “It’s fun to go through and see the cool moments that I have captured of the athlete,” DeArment said. She plans on continuing taking journalism throughout high school and would like to go into the yearbook section of AHS journalism.
