Daryle Wright, from the Associated Builders and Contractors, came to the iJAG at Atlantic High School on January 8. According to Dawn Walton, Wright spoke about the trades, including anything from welding, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and apprenticeships in any specific trade.
Apprenticeships are a healthy way to learn the trade and easily make money, with classes once a week.
“Wright will return with a trailer further into the school year, when it is warmer outside,” said Walton. Which will allow students to earn a minor hands-on experience and a glimpse of different trades and the different companies Wright’s corporation works with.
