Mason McFadden, Broadcasting Lead Editor
Mason McFadden, 17, has taken part in journalism for the past two years. Mcfadden’s favorite department of choice is broadcasting because “I love editing and I’m good at it so it’s only natural.”
His favorite part of journalism is making funny videos. To him, it is just a “good time.” He most enjoyed making the Valentine show last year with the Journalism Production class.
McFadden participates in many school activities such as Cross Country, Soccer, and AHS Fuel. He also has a variety of hobbies such as playing piano, hiking, hanging out with friends, cooking, and “lots of running.” After school, he works on yards for Templeton Lawn Care, whether it’s mowing in the summer or scooping snow in the winter.
McFadden explained why he is a good fit for the broadcasting arm of journalism: “I’m not the best at writing stories so the Needle isn’t for me, and I struggled making my yearbook page last year, so that’s not for me either.” McFadden also said he loved the flexibility in journalism and how it lets you express your creativity.
