Malena Woodward, Staff Writer
Sophomore Malena Woodward is a very involved student at AHS. She takes part in softball, basketball, volleyball, track and field, and FFA. Outside of school, she participates in 4-H. When she isn’t at her activities, she enjoys to spend time on her farm with her cows and goats.
Woodward also has found a new enjoyment in journalism, which she started predominantly because she thought the class would be a fun way to get involved. She is currently only a journalism production student, but does wish to continue with the program. “I enjoy the freedom you get to have when doing projects and the student driven environment,” she said. Some things that she is looking forward to this semester include: learning how to edit the yearbook and do Eye of the Needle videos. She encourages her classmates and peers to get involved in journalism, saying it is a “cool way to get involved and to try new things.”
