Haley Rasmussen, Yearbook Editor

Haley Rasmussen, a senior at Atlantic High School, has been involved in journalism since her junior year. Rasmussen helps take pictures, create captions, and design different pages in the yearbook. She says her favorite part of journalism is working with friends and being a part of something that impacts the school. Other than journalism, Rasmussen likes to keep herself busy. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, track, AHS fuel, and National Honor Society. Other activities Rasmussen enjoys include riding bikes with her grandma; going to lake Panorama; and spending time with her dogs, friends, and family. Rasmussen says her favorite parts of high school so far have been “playing sports with some of my best friends, going to prom, participating in homecoming week, and going to football games and being in the student section.”

Rasmussen said her most memorable experience of high school has been going to state softball her freshman year. She would describe herself as laid back and a very go with the flow type of person, however she still enjoys going out with friends and having fun in her small town. Her friends would describe Rasmussen as someone who everyone looks up to and trust. Rasmussen says her favorite teacher while in high school has been Ms. Berryhill. She said, “she reminds me of some of my family members and is just fun to be around. She makes school a little more tolerable.” Rasmussen plans after high school are yet to be decided.
