AHS show choir went to Harlan on Feb. 14th to participate in “Harlan Cyclone Cynsation.” They left the school at eight thirty in the morning and performed at one ten in the afternoon. Their theme was “Time.” They used the songs Time After Time, Good Time, and Back In Time. They placed fourth among 3A schools, and they anxiously awaited the awards to start at five to find out whether or not they made it into the finals. Choir director, Hunter Khongmaly, said, “I don’t think anyone really expected us to make it.” However, everyone was proved wrong because they made it into the final rounds for the first time in eleven years. Khongmaly said that “Everyone erupted.” The show choir had its final performance at seven that night and placed fifth overall. The placings can be found at SCC.
