How often do you find yourself scrolling online? A couple of minutes daily? Hours? What was once a harmless way to kill time has dissolved into an addictive habit for many. Consumption of fast-paced media requires little effort on a user’s end, and coupled with an algorithm catered to you, quickly becomes a daily, meaningless habit. Some may even have trouble remembering what they watched four videos ago. Not only does scrolling waste time that could’ve been spent being productive, but a majority of what you are told never sticks with you. As though it never mattered at all.
