Sophomore Zephyr Mitchell walks into the AHS entryway lined by cheerleaders. Every Friday on the day of a home football game, the cheerleaders would greet those who walked into class.

Makenna Schroeder, Staff Writer
Makenna Schroeder is a sophomore at AHS. This is Schroeder’s first year in journalism. Her favorite thing about journalism is the diversity among the members. Journalism gives her the chance to talk to different people in our school and community. She said, “It's hard to talk to new people nowadays with everything in the world being tech-based.” This semester Schroeder said she is very excited to take a more variety of pictures because it will allow her to get the behind-the-scenes look at things most people don't get the chance to see, which is what journalism is all about.
Schroeder is involved in basketball, softball, cross country, cheerleading, golf, volleyball, dance, band, Student Council, AHS Fuel, FFA, tutoring, and Silver Cord. She said if she ever has free time she enjoys reading, going on trips, or going to the lake.
