Makenna Schroeder is a co-lead editor for AHS Needle for the 2025-2026 AHS Journalism. She first got into journalism because she thought it would be fun, and one of her friends, Regan Leonard, was involved in it. The best part is the “opportunities you are given and getting to know things and being involved with them.” Schroeder’s favorite memory was writing the cell phone policy story. She said it was “fun to be connected and learn more about the school’s structure.”
Outside of journalism, Schroeder enjoys reading and going on vacation, and is involved in cheerleading, basketball, golf, softball, Student Council, AHS Fuel, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, NHS, band, Journalism, and Quill and Scroll. In the future, she wants to major in journalism. She is the oldest in her family and loves it. She has three younger brothers, Cody, Gage, and Keaton, and two “great” parents.
