Colin Juelsgaard plays multiple sports; he plays soccer and is in archery. Juelsgaard looks up to his coach, Justin Williams, who is the head coach of both soccer and archery. The senior says that he looks up to Williams, because he is easy to be around, and is a good coach, as he pushes his players. Juelsgaard also looks up to two other people, his dad and his teacher Trace Peterson. He looks up to his dad because his dad has taught him a lot how to manage some important things, and how to work on cars. He looks up to Peterson because he pushes him to strive for success.

Juelsgaard’s favorite sport is soccer. He says “some practices are intense, but others are fun. I like the feeling of kicking the ball and having control of it.” He likes archery too, because the sport is a team sport, as well as an individual one.

Juelsgaard is going to Des Moines Area Community College for Welding. Juelsgaard said, “when I went to DMACC for a college visit, it just felt like the right college.”

Juelsgaard said, “if I had a superpower, it would be flying because it would help me get to places faster, like my work and back home.” He also said, “my favorite memory of my family and I would be going to South Dakota to visit parks and other attractions.”
