Jenna Pelzer, Broadcasting Anchor
Jenna Pelzer, a junior at Atlantic High School, has been involved in track, dance, dance team and journalism. She has been a journalist student since her sophomore year and is now in broadcasting. “It’s really fun being on camera and finding stories to write about,” she said. Pelzer was interested in journalism because of her older sister, Shelby, who was also an anchor for Eye of the Needle. “It’s always a good time with my broadcasting crew,” she said. Pelzer’s mom, Misty Adams, has a big impact on her life and described Adams as her best friend. “She always pushes me to try new things,” Pelzer said, “even if I fail she just pushes me to try again.” Her most memorable moment in high school so far was playing with the Ouija board at Dance Atlantic with the dance team her freshman year. After high school, she would like to go to college somewhere in California or Iowa and major in nursing. During college, she would like to be part of a dance team and travel but might hold off on traveling until after college.
