Grace Barkley
Grace Barkley, a Junior at AHS, is a part of the broadcasting team for AHS Eye of the Needle which is posted every Friday on Youtube. Barkley is the sports anchor, writes scripts and creates packages. A “package” is an interview with a certain person, to explain something important going on in or around AHS. Something she would like to inform upcoming broadcasting students is that it takes a lot of work and time to produce good videos, but it’s worth the time and effort. Barkley said, “Before journalism, I was afraid of being on camera, but now that I am on Eye of the Needle I have been put out of my comfort zone.” When not in the JLab, Barkley is involved in cheer, dance team, NHS, dance classes and working at Dance Atlantic. Some of her hobbies include spending time with her friends and family, being with her animals and watching Netflix. Something that most people may not know about her is that she lives on a farm 20 miles outside of Atlantic, with her parents and many animals. In the future, she hopes to attend a good college and has an undecided major.
