The Atlantic FFA officer team met with eighth grade students Tuesday, Sept. 26 about joining FFA. The officer team consists of President Colton Rudy, Vice President Lola Comes, Secretary Claire Pellett, Treasurer Roth Denbeste, Reporter Lily Johnson, Sentinel Wyatt Simons, and Student Advisor Charli Goff.
They gave a presentation in the middle school auditorium during the eighth graders’ home base. The presentation consisted of what FFA is, an overview of activities, upcoming events, meeting the officers, and how to join. The presentation also included an introduction to Advisor Eric Miller. The students had a chance to ask questions about the program. Comes made a point to stress that FFA is not just for those interested in agriculture, and that there are numerous leadership and personal growth opportunities as well. The students were encouraged to attend the chapter meeting Sept. 26 at 6:30pm in the commons. A meal will be served at 6pm.
