Mahala Kemp is a junior Broadcasting editor. With Erik Ramirez, she anchors the bi-weekly story segment on Eye of the Needle, highlighting stories from the website for video viewers. Kemp’s favorite part about journalism is spending time with her friends in a relaxed and creative area. Kemp works at both Ann Wickman Center and Care Initiatives. She holds a CNA degree and plans to become an LPN. YOLO is a philosophy she lives by. She is independent and self-assured. Kemp loves to shop for clothes, hair, and makeup. She likes to hang out with her older brother, Keegan. They work on his trucks together and enjoy bonfires at his house.
