Another Vote on Face Masks

On Wednesday, Jan. 13 the Atlantic School Board will have a meeting to vote on the use of face masks in the school district at 6 p.m. According to the School Board agenda, they will be discussing the facility project update, along with the coaching and sponsor evaluation process. The board members will also vote for an emergency paid sick leave for COVID-19.

Board members will meet in the Atlantic High School Library and it will be live-streamed on YouTube. Activities Director Andrew Mitchell said, “Superintendent Steven Barber is going to recommend masks for the rest of the school year.” According to Mitchell, since we’ve had the mask mandate, we’ve have less people quarantine. The meeting will be led by the board president Jenny Williams and every member will cast a vote.
