Jaylen “JJ” McDaniel, Senior Broadcasting Editor
Jaylen McDaniel is a senior at Atlantic High School. He is a Senior Producer for the Eye Of The Needle and a photographer. McDaniel has been taking photos since the second semester of his junior year. McDaniel said, “I’m proud of my photography I’ve molded, and proud of the videos I’ve shaped.” McDaniel takes photos for journalism at most of the games but, is most proud of his boys’ and girls’ wrestling photos. Jaylen is most proud that one of his photos was featured in the Des Moines Register. Some of the photos that he took also made Athlete of the Week. Outside of school, McDaniel loves archery. He has been participating in archery since 7th grade. He also enjoys helping his grandpa coach archery. McDaniel also participates in soccer, And he also loves taking photos outside of school. McDaniel said he is going to take his friend’s senior pictures because it’ll give him the opportunity to expand his reach.
