Diana Balva, Broadcasting
“I always try to focus--not on the person, but an aspect or characteristic I can reflect on myself,” senior Diana Balva said. Balva is a videographer for the broadcasting team. She joined to expand on her love of filming, with four years of previous filming experience. “It’s something that makes me happy and helps me relax,” Balva said. Most of her inspiration and passion come from movies.
Besides journalism, Balva is involved in choir, debate, and drama through Atlantic High School. She would be described as “intelligent, independent, optimistic” as well as “flexible but confident.” One thing she will cherish forever is letters from her friends. She brought them with her from Uzbekistan and plans to keep them forever. The person who she believes knows her best would be her best friend from her country or her cat.
