Braden Smith, Staff Writer
Braden Smith has his eye on the sky and is excited to shoot for the stars in Journalism. After high school, Smith plans to attend UNO and become a pilot. Smith found inspiration in his parents who are both pilots, and in his friends who are pursuing in a pilot career. Smith hopes that by staying in Journalism throughout high school it will help teach him to have good communication skills and the ability to form relationships. “My favorite part about journalism is how comfortable Ms. Berryhill makes us feel with learning new techniques,” said Smith. Out of all of the projects that Smith has completed in journalism his overall favorite is the first photo project he completed. Smith is involved in basketball, golf, football, and FFA. Out of Smith’s entire freshman year, his favorite memory was his decision to participate in his first season of golf. Smith made “many awesome friendships,” and worked hard to become better at the sport. During Smith’s free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and playing fortnite. Smith describes himself as a “pretty normal and plain guy.” Throughout the rest of Smith’s high school career, he plans to continue his participation in all of his favorite sports. Smith is excited to see what interests he can find in the journalism department.
