Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the original Prom date of Saturday, April 4 was postponed. The rescheduled date is Saturday, July 11. According to an email sent out by principal Heather McKay, the final decision will be made on Tuesday, June 30. If it is decided that Prom can not be held on the July date, it will not be rescheduled.

Prom advisor Mallory Kirchhoff said, “As of right now Prom will look like we had planned.” All of the original vendors have been secured for the new date in July. The junior class will still work in the originally planned committees to decorate Prom. Currently, all of the traditional activities will take place, but things may change due to COVID-19 and guidance from Governor Kim Reynolds, the IDPH, and the CDC.

Junior class Vice President Anna Wieser said, “I think Prom will be good because we still get to have it and it will be a good chance to see everyone together one last time.”
