Atlantic-CAM Wrestlers Finish Runner-Up

The Atlantic-CAM wrestlers traveled to St. Albert to compete in a triangular which also included Shenandoah in attendance on Thursday, Jan. 30. The Trojans swept the competition with scoring 82-0 against Shenandoah and 67-6 versus St. Albert. 

The following Saturday, Feb. 1, the Trojans placed second at the Hawkeye Ten Wrestling Tournament hosted by Red Oak. Atlantic-CAM wrestlers fell 14.5 points behind Creston-Orient Macksburg, who received 199.5 points. In total, there were 11 teams competing. 

Overall, the Atlantic-CAM team had a total of four champions: Easton O’Brien at 106 pounds, Aybren Moore at 113 pounds, Kadin Stutzman at 152 pounds, and Cale Roller at 285 pounds. Other place winners include Jaxson Bell, who came in third at 132 pounds. Ethan Follman finished in fourth place at 120 pounds with Joe Weaver also at fourth at 126. 

Next, the Trojans will make their way to Adel for Sectionals to see who will move on to regionals. The boys will wrestle on Saturday, Feb. 8.
