Trojans Take on Council Bluffs Classic

It was a busy weekend for Atlantic-CAM wrestling.

Four of the five girls competed at the tournament held in Oakland on Saturday, Dec. 14. Senior Aleigh Bean took first place in the 124-130 pound weight class. Senior Madison Fell and sophomore Kenzie Hoffman placed second in their divisions, and sophomore Lexie Trotter placed third. Over 35 girls competed in the tournament.

The boys attended the two-day Council Bluffs Classic on Friday, Dec. 13. At the end of day one, the team stood in 12th place with 46.5 points. Eight Trojans wrestled in the Gold bracket. In the silver bracket was sophomore Ethan Follman, and juniors Devin McKay and Zane Vance. They finished the meet in 22nd place. 

Individually, senior Aybren Moore finished eighth overall at 113 pounds, and senior Cale Roller finished fourth at 285 pounds. Roller also picked up his 100th career victory during the tournament. 

The Trojans will compete against Carroll Kuemper and Lewis Central on Thursday, Dec. 19 in Carroll.
