Get ready for one last touchdown, AHS! This Friday, Oct. 19, the Atlantic Trojan football team will have their final game of the season at home against the Red Oak Tigers. The game will be held at the Trojans’ own turf in the Trojan Bowl.

The theme of the 7 p.m.  game is Pink Out to raise awareness for breast cancer. The team’s record stands at 3-5, with hopes to end off the season with 4-5. Head coach Mike McDermott said he believes that they improve each game tributing that to the seniors “keeping us focused.”

McDermott is looking forward to next season hoping that they’ll build off of this season and use it as a learning step. Former football player at AHS Trevor Wendt has been to every home game this season and said, “This year they’ve played a little quicker than we did. You can tell the drive we had last year transferred to this year and they want it. You can tell they play with their hearts.”
