When he was younger, Ethan Madsen wanted to be in the Army because he thought it would be cool to “experience those things.” A big moment in his life was when he joined the Civil Air Patrol, which he says has changed him into the person he is today. Madsen plans to attend DMACC after high school to get a paramedic degree because he has always enjoyed watching emergency surgeries and his father was a paramedic. After college, he would like to live in Des Moines while working as a paramedic.

Madsen has had many fun times while attending AHS. He enjoys playing video games and writing music in his free time. Madeon, a French DJ, is an influencer in Madsen’s life because he inspired Madsen to write his own music. Madsen became involved with video games and developed a love for them after his grandmother gave him his first game. Saving up enough money to buy his own computer is a success he is proud of.

Madsen has a younger brother Eric and two pets: a dog named Sadie and a cat named Masen. His mother Jenny and father Brad have always been supportive of him no matter what the situation was. Another supporter in his life is English teacher Emma Bireline, one of his favorite teachers. “She has always been there for me and she is very supportive,” Madsen said.
