Trojan Boys’ Golf Falls to Kuemper at Home
Ben Renaud is medalist with a 36.
On Tuesday, April 24, the boys’ golf team hosted Kuemper and lost 159 to 154.
Senior Ben Renaud was medalist with a 36 (+2).”Nice score by Ben today. Struggled on 5 but finished with two birdies,” said coach Ed Den Beste.
Jared Tigges from Kuemper shot a 37. He was one shot up on Renaud going into the eighth hole but bogeyed and parred the remaining holes while Renaud went birdie, birdie to finish his nine.
Sophomore Cyle Renaud came in with a 39 and Junior Matt Gearheart finished with a 40. Mason Goergen shot a 44, Austin Alexander 48 and Drey Newell shot a 45.
Coach Den Beste said he was happy his team shot well and challenged Kuemper.
Next meet is today at Shenandoah.
