Corey Beymer is the son of Mike and Donna Beymer and younger sibling to Kyle and Ryan. Beymer spends a lot of time outdoors and said, “I like to be outside.” He enjoys hunting, fishing and dirt biking with family on the weekends. His favorite place to go is Timber Ridge in Castana, Iowa because “it’s relaxing and I get to spend time with family and it’s where we go dirt biking and camping.”

After high school, Beymer would like to go to college somewhere in-state for mechanics. He chose the mechanics field because since he was a child, he has always been interested in engineering and mechanics. “I wanted to do something creative and I like machines,” Beymer said. He also enjoys his current job at Rick’s Auto Clinic as well as the people he is working with and said, “I like to build things and work hands-on.”

Beymer’s favorite high school memory was his entire freshman year. He liked the new opportunities and experiences that came with high school, such as shop classes and working with former industrial arts teacher Derek Bair in woodworking.

“High school in general” has had a big impact on Beymer. “It has prepared me for my future by taking shop classes that helped my career,” Beymer said. Taking math and science classes has given him a better understanding of what he wants to do in his life. Beymer said his friend Shelden Daughenbaugh has also been “a good influence” for him.

Beymer is most proud of giving his best every day, working hard to get good grades and doing a good job at work.
