Last night, April 16, the girls’ track team traveled to Clarinda and took home first place with 151 points.

“Things have been going pretty good for us”.

— Coach Henderson

The Trojans scored its first 10 points of the meet in the 4×800. This was the only relay to get first place on the night but there were several other relays to come in second. Those were the 4×200, 4×400, and the 4×100. Freshman Haley Rasmussen placed 4th in the 400 and 5th in 200. She also led off the 4×400 last night in 65.5.

Head coach Ryan Henderson also said that this week they were trying to get Taylor Mccreedy a few good runs in the 1500m as she is right on the cusp of making it to the Drake Relays. There are a few other sprint relays that could make it in if they run well.

“The tough practices has made them better and they are ready for upcoming meets that are very important”, said Henderson.
