Trojans Fall Short in District Final

On Friday, Feb. 23, the Trojans traveled to Glenwood to take on the No. 1 seed Glenwood Rams in the District Final. The Trojans fought but lost 70-49.

In the first quarter, neither teams could seem to make many shots. The Trojans led 11-9 at the end of the quarter.

The Rams outscored the Trojans by five in the second quarter and it was a three point game at halftime 27-24 in favor of the Rams.

In the third quarter, Glenwood jumped out to an 11 point lead in less than two minutes forcing the Trojans to call a timeout. Atlantic regrouped but was not able to cut the deficit below 10 points. At the end of the third the Rams led 53-38.

The Rams outscored the Trojans again in the fourth making the final score Glenwood 70 Atlantic 49. The Trojans finished the year with 14-9 record.
