It’s that time of year again. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be taking the required Iowa Assessments on Thursday. The three tests–reading, math, and science–decide what courses students can take and give educators an idea of an individual’s progress throughout high school.

The exams will be taken at the beginning of the day with directions given out right at 8 am. In between tests, there will be 7 minute breaks. The full testing period is planned to end shortly after 10:30 am.

In order to do their absolute best on the Iowa Assessments, students are encouraged to eat healthy, go to sleep early, and come to school with a positive attitude regarding the tests.
