On Saturday, Jan. 6 the Atlantic/Cam wrestling team held the Rollin Dyer tournament, hosting 12 teams from around the state. As a team, the Trojans placed 4th overall with a score of 177.

At 106, freshman Joe Weaver placed 4th, 113-pounder sophomore Aybren Moore placed 3rd and at 12o freshman Steele McLaren placed 6th. Senior Kole Hansen placed 3rd at 126, junior Tanner Williamson placed 5th at 138, and at 145 senior Colton Mudd finished 7th.  Junior Connor Pellett finished 2nd at 152, junior Kenny Jimmerson finished 4th at 160 and sophomore Cale Roller finished 7th at 170.

Atlantic had two first-place finishes on the day: junior Chase McLaren at 132 with a win of 18-5. He now has a 33-3 record for the year. Senior John McConkey beat Justin Jones from Humboldt 5-3 to take the crown and improve his record to 31-1 on the year.

The wrestlers will be back in action next Saturday, Jan. 13 at Marion.
