Trinity Zynda is largely involved in the drama department. Zynda, in her past (including the times not here in Atlantic), has been in IHSSA for four years, the fall play for four years, Spring musical for four years, National Forensic League for two years, choir for two years and AHS Band for two years.

Her plan after high school is to go directly into the performing arts world, “I [also] have an internship to work for a cruise ship,” Zynda said. Zynda’s favorite thing about drama is being who you want to be and not being judged for it. “Either that, or being able to have the chance to be who you want,” Zynda said.

Zynda lives with her dad and mom. She has two half siblings, Mac and Paige. She also has a dog named Rudy, and two rabbits, Leslie and Toots. Before coming to AHS, she has lived in Wausau, Wisconsin (eight years), Rochester, Minnesota (two years) and West Des Moines (five years).

Zynda’s favorite high school activity is drama. One of her favorite memories is from junior year in Atlantic, when she acted in the spring musical Annie, when Zynda performed a solo song. Zynda has also participated in speech. “Speech draws me in by the various genres it comes in. Just like picking a radio station, there are endless opportunities that spread across the board as to what you can do, and it fits any person like a glove,” Zynda said.

A memorable moment for Zynda is she was about to have the opportunity to be a part of a Netflix documentary. “It’s based off a Broadway Intensive that I went to with a few other kids, and our work/progress with each other and two Tony award winners from Iowa,” Zynda said.

For Zynda, her most influential people are her IHSSA coaches. She’s most proud of making All-State for three years. The teacher that impacts Zynda the most is Mr. Alex Bales.
