The girls basketball team started their annual free throw fundraiser Nov. 5. This is the second year the girls have been doing this fundraiser. The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money not only for girls, but for the boys basketball team as well. The girls shoot 100 free throws each and people pledge to give them certain amount money per shot that is made. Last season the girls raised more than $1,100.

Senior Catherine Leonard was able to make 85 free throws this year. “I made 86 last year, and missed my last two shots this year to get to 87”, said Leonard. The fundraiser is still going on but it ends this Saturday, Nov. 12. The team is hoping to raise enough money to buy the Trojans new chairs with Trojan heads on them for games next season.

Donations are still being accepted until the 12th of November. If you would like to make a donation contact Kelly Juhl or any of the girl basketball players. Your donations will be much appreciated.
