New Temporary Bell Tones

Recently, the bells at AHS have been sounding a little different.  Last week, the bells started ringing continuously and incorrectly.  This left all the students and faculty questioning what was wrong with the system.

In an interview Thursday, Feb. 25,  AHS Principal Heather McKay didn’t know what was wrong with the system.  However, she did mention that this same thing happened six years ago at AHS and a new system was installed in the summer of 2011.  On Monday, Feb. 29, ACSD Technology Coordinator Roger Warne brought in a technician to look at the situation and see what the issue was. The school was later informed that one of the computer boards went bad within the system.  Another board was ordered and is being shipped from Canada.  The technician is hoping to be back by next week to install it.

McKay has yet to be informed of the cost of the new board. She isn’t sure if this is a long-term repair or something that’s just going to get the school by until summer. For now the school will be using a temporary tone.
