Homecoming week is coming up quick for the Atlantic Trojans, starting Sept. 29 and going till Oct. 3. The Trojans will be playing an important football and volleyball game and running a cross country meet.

To get everyone pumped up for these games, the school has a lot of different activities going on during Homecoming week. Each grade competes against each other for the chance to win the spirit stick. The grade with the most points at the end of the week wins.

Students get points for dressing up for each day, going to and winning float building, winning dodgeball, and many other things.

Friday the third, towards the end of the school day, every student and teacher gets together for an assembly, which includes the announcement of homecoming king and queen, a pep rally, and fun things for the student to participate in. After this, the sporting teams and band come back to the school and get ready to ride on their floats.  Then the parade starts around 2 and goes till about 4.

The volleyball team will play the Lewis Central Titans on Sept. 30 here. The football team will play the Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs at the Trojan Bowl. The cross country team will be running in Shenandoah.  Make sure to go out and support all these events and get involved in Homecoming week!
