Trojan Volleyball Wins Triangular

Tuesday night the Atlantic Trojans volleyball team traveled to Guthrie Center to play in a triangular volleyball match, playing AC-GC first with Earlham to follow. Atlantic began their season on the right foot by defeating both teams.

The Trojans began the night playing 3 matches against the Adair Casey-Guthrie Center Chargers winning 2-1 in the final match. Atlantic then went on to beat the Earlham Cardinals in short order winning 2-0.

Senior Catherine Leonard led the Trojans with 12 kills and 31 attack attempts on the night, while also going 11-for-12 on serves. Junior Sidney Svoboda was right behind Leonard with 11 kills and 29 attack attempts to complete the night. Senior Megan Behrends also had an 86% success rate when serving the ball over the net.

The Trojans will travel to Avoca Saturday to participate in a tournament, be sure to attend and support the Trojans!
