This Thursday and Friday, the annual drum major tryouts will be held for the Atlantic High School Trojan Guard.  Junior Emily Yager will be the returning drum major from last year.  She will help judge auditions, along with last year’s head drum major senior Ben Parker.  Overall, the final decision goes to band director Jarrod O’Donnell.

The competitors for the assistant drum major spot next year are sophomores Anna Iekel, Bryn Blanchette, Nadia Somers, and Meghan Behrends.  For the tryout, the four sophomore girls will have to direct the school song, the national anthem, and a song from last year’s marching band show.  The song that was selected was “Nightmare Before Christmas.” Good luck girls!
